How to search

The search system consists of two sections, a word search and a set of subject categories. Either of these can be used to select items from the CPD database and then to order them.

Word Search

Enter a term or terms into the "search" box at the top right of the window. The terms are truncations - ie entering brick will retrieve items containing the word brick, bricks or bricklaying.

When two or more terms are entered, they will be linked by "and" logic. ie for an item to be retrieved it will have to contain each of the terms entered.

The terms come from the item titles, the companies, the item descriptions and the subject categories.

Categories

The material has been organised into categories. Clicking on any of these will produce the list of relevant material. Hovering over the entry will  indicate its format - eg literature, seminar etc. Alternatively, use the icon as a guide.

The Material

The lists of material contain an icon, indicating the format, the titles and company names. Where the company name is highlighted, there is a separate set of data about the company.

For more information about the item, use the "More info" button.

To order the item, use the "Add request" button. Then the "Request button", complete the form and submit it to us. We will arrange for you to receive the requested information as soon as possible.
